Privacy Policy

LifeSpike ("the App") is a fitness workout app. This policy explains how the App handles your information.

Data Storage

Your personal data — including your workout history, exercise preferences, profile information (such as your name, weight, height, and age), and statistics — is stored locally on your device. The App does not have its own server, backend, or cloud storage, and this data is never uploaded by the App. You can export a copy of it at any time from the Profile screen.

Accounts

The App does not require an account. You can optionally link an email address in the Profile screen, which is used solely to restore your purchases across devices. If you do, that email address is shared with RevenueCat (our purchase-management provider) and nothing else. You can unlink it at any time.

In-App Purchases

The App offers optional in-app purchases processed through Apple's App Store or Google Play. These transactions are handled entirely by Apple or Google and their payment processor. The App uses RevenueCat to manage purchase status. The App does not collect, process, or store any payment or billing information.

Usage Analytics

To understand which features are used and improve the App, we collect pseudonymous usage analytics using PostHog, hosted in the European Union. We rely on our legitimate interest in improving the App as the legal basis for this. Specifically:

• Events such as opening the App, completing a workout, generating a quick workout, or unlocking a badge, together with non-identifying details (e.g. workout duration, exercise count, platform)
• A random identifier stored on your device; if you link an email address, an irreversible cryptographic hash of it is used instead — your actual email address and name are never sent to analytics
• No advertising networks or SDKs, no session recording, no cross-site or cross-app tracking, and no precise location data
• Analytics data is never sold or shared for advertising

You can turn analytics off at any time in the Profile screen under App Settings → Share Anonymous Usage Data. Opting out takes effect immediately and also discards the stored analytics identifier.

Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services:

• RevenueCat — manages in-app purchase entitlements. RevenueCat receives purchase data from the app stores, and your email address if you choose to link it for purchase restoration. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• PostHog — processes the pseudonymous usage analytics described above, on servers in the EU. See PostHog's Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store / Google Play — handle payment processing for in-app purchases under their own privacy policies.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

Data Deletion

Your personal data is stored locally on your device, so you can delete it at any time by clearing the App's data in your device settings or by uninstalling the App. Unlinking your email in the Profile screen removes it from your purchase account, and turning off analytics discards the stored analytics identifier.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
